Feel the freedom of the open range

  • 5000 acres of hilly countryside
  • 200 cows and newborn calves
  • 09 miles of river frontage

Experience the cowboy way of life under the endless sky of the Canadian Prairies and ride where the Blackfoot and Crow once camped as they hunted Buffalo across the vast plains. Spend an exhilarating Western week at La Reata Ranch, a family-owned working cattle ranch.

Feel the freedom of riding the open range and hear the thunder of many hooves as you help wrangle the free-roaming horses. Lunch on beans slow-cooked over an open fire while you admire emerald seas of prairie grass and rolling hills that open into steep coulees. Back at the ranch, you share the day’s experiences over a hearty, home-cooked supper, then fall asleep in your cozy cabin, already anticipating another day of authentic cowboy life.
